I am a licensed chiropractor, IFM Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, certified Food for Life Instructor, health counselor, author, founder of MTHFR A1298C (FB group) and international speaker. My team and I specialize in helping women regain control of their health and vitality through the use of functional medicine principles (increase energy, improve sleep, decrease digestive problems, balance weight). We address the root causes of problems, not just the symptoms, which are often rooted in lifestyle choices, environmental exposures, and genetic influences. It entails a team approach (doctor, patient and nutrition team working together) to review and address a patient’s health. We conduct virtual coaching, one-on-one patient management, group coaching, public speaking, retreats and e-teaching modules.

Why did you become a health professional? To truly help people feel better–to thrive so that they can live out their life’s passion. I’ve known since I was very young that this was my mission in life. My own health, as well as that of my family, kept me growing and learning, expanding first into the field of functional medicine and then further into methylation and nutrigenomics.

Passions in life? Family, water sports, animals, nature, seeing people heal…and feeling alive!

What drew you to utilizing methylation and nutrigenomics in your practice? After suffering myself for 20+ years with symptoms that physicians could not understand or help, I ventured into understanding methylation and found what I was missing.

What are your top three recommendations that you give to the majority of your clients/patients? (1) Eat more plants, (2) Walk in fresh air and (3) Breathe (deep, purposeful breathing to reset the brain) daily!
