Dr Sarah Strong, ND
I have been a general practitioner since 2007 but have always had a special interest in plants and genetics. The idea that two parts can come together to make such complex and amazing organisms has always been fascinating to me and I am always eager to learn more about how every part of our health puzzles fit together. Methylation is rarely the only missing piece but it is a very important part of the larger picture that is often not addressed or addressed incorrectly. I do not believe in the “take 20 supplements” approach to methylation optimization and work with minimal supplements, as well as lifestyle modification, and strongly believe that you are a product of both genetics and environment. The saying “genetics loads the gun but environment pulls the trigger” is a favorite and is so true. While I always enjoy figuring out why an individual is having the issue they are having I especially enjoy working on fertility and pediatric cases and helping create a happy and healthy family environment for both parents and children. I am a voracious reader and lover of gardening, good food, and medicine making. When I’m not at work I’m generally playing with my husband and children and covered in soil and finger paint.
I offer complimentary 15 minute “meet and greets” to make sure we are a good fit, since I believe that a large part of the journey is finding the right practitioner. I’m very big on the naturopathic prinicipe Docere, or “doctor as teacher”. My role is to educate my clients and help them make informed decisions on their journey to better health and to support them along the way.
