Phiona’s Approach and Treatment Philosophy
Phiona Gitsham is an Integrative Chinese Medicine Dr. and Nutrigenomics specialist who is passionate about helping people to cultivate their optimum health. She currently works with patients worldwide over Skype. It doesn’t matter where you are!
Dr Phiona specializes in chronic illness, fatigue, allergies, digestive issues, hormone imbalances, anxiety, depression, dermatology and methylation. She also works with healthy patients who may be athletes, or dancers and want to cultivate their optimum health. Having a personalised, natural, integrative medical treatment plan supports you to blossom in not just health, but also in life and happiness.
Phiona works with a unique combination of treatment techniques combining Chinese medicine with the scientific, biochemistry based nutrition of nutrigenomics. Drawing from her skills across the span of energy healing, Chinese medicine, nutrition and genomic science, Dr. Phiona tailors a personal program that suits each individual and their potential for optimum health.
Phiona finds great relevance in her background with dance, martial arts and meditation which she continues to practice daily. Her prior studies in performance, dance, music and movement anatomy all support an understanding of the human body, as well as the way we construct and physically embody our identity, attitudes, beliefs and inner dialogue. In any form of natural therapy, effective lasting healing transformations go hand in hand with changes in emotional patterns, attitude, lifestyle or ways of being in one’s body. Becoming aware of and transforming the inner dialogue creates enormous changes in immune function and health. This is the essence of shamanic counseling.
Phiona also teaches Meditation classes through the clinic, and tailors personalized meditations for patients.
